The taping dates for Season 2 of The Big Bang Theory have been announced.

Episodes will be recorded on the following dates: August 19th, August 26th, September 9th, September 16th, September 30th, October 7th & October 21st.

Tickets are not yet available, but we will keep you posted on their availability.

A Hollywood Union has voted against strike action regarding the unsettled actors contract. The Union, The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), is the smaller of the two Hollywood actors unions, the larger Screen Actors Guild is still in negotiations with TV & Movie producers about a new actors contract.

The SAG is still negotiating and it looks unlikely they would be able to muster up enough support to call a strike. So for now, TV & Movie production is safe.

The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) today warned that television production is under threat after the start of a "de facto" strike by actors.

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) is demanding more money for actors from Internet download and DVDs of their work. The existing actors contract expired at midnight today, with movie production already said to be at a standstill.

Production of TV shows such as The Big Bang Theory is likely to continue, but could be affected in the event of a full blown official strike.

The cast of The Big Bang Theory will be appearing at the annual Comic-Con International, a fan convention for sci-fi & other "geeky" shows and projects.

The convention takes place from July 24th-27th in San Diego. Warner Bros. will also be presenting a number of their other shows at the convention, including "Pushing Daisies" & "Chuck".

CBS has today revealed it's fall premiere dates. The Big Bang Theory, along with the other Monday night line-up, will return Monday September 22nd. The show will continue to air in the 8/7c slot.

One strike in a year is bad luck, but two? A scary prospect which will put fear in the heart of studio execs. The Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (AMPTP), look like they will not reach agreement on a pay-deal before the deadline next Tuesday.

A strike would disrupt production of movies & television shows, such as The Big Bang Theory. The previous season was heavily interrupted by the Writers' Strike.

Amazon.co.uk has posted details of The Big Bang Theory: Season 1 which seems to show that the DVD will be released in the United Kingdom.

It is not certain at this point, some of the details listed there are direct copies of the US release which are probably not going to be true in the UK. The release on a Tuesday is not usual in the UK so September 2nd doesn't look like it will be the release day.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced Season 1 of The Big Bang Theory on DVD.

The DVD will hit stores September 2nd, with all 17 episodes on 3 discs. Technical specs are the episodes will be in Widescreen with 5.1 surround sound. No word on any special features.
