Leslie Winkle is a colleague, and on-off girlfriend, of Leonard.

She frequently engages in verbal spars with Sheldon, whom she does not consider a real scientist.

Leslie has some unconventional cooking methods, such as flash-freezing a banana with liquid nitrogen and shattering it with a hammer to add to her cereal, or the use of lasers to heat her noodles.

Her relationship with Leonard did not work out due to philosophical differences, Leslie is a believer - in loop quantum gravity, that is - and her & Leonard couldn't possibly raise a child without agreement on such core values.
