The Big Bang Theory Episode Tournament: Result

Our The Big Bang Theory Episode Tournament has now closed and a winner has been declared. The voting was extremely close with just one vote deciding the result. The second season Christmas episode, "The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis", won the tournament. Thank you to everybody who voted.

"The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis" has proved to be a favorite of many fans. This is the sixth tournament the episode has now won. In the episode, Penny starts dating a handsome colleague of Leonard's, while Raj and Howard help Sheldon find a suitable Chrsitmas gift for Penny. In a memorable scene from the episode, Sheldon hugs Penny after she gives him a napkin signed by Leonard Nimoy.

"The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis" received 50.06% of the vote in the final round to narrowly beat "The Adhesive Duck Deficiency". The winning episode received a total of 1,194 votes throughout the tournament and had an overall vote share of 11.07%.

Amazon posts Season 2 pre-order info

Amazon.com has posted limited information about The Big Bang Theory: Season 2 DVD, giving fans their first chance to pre-order the DVD. No release date or cover-art is yet available, but Amazon is taking pre-orders for $41.99 ($59.98 RRP), which does sound quite high, I'd be very surprised if the actual cost isn't quite a bit lower when it's officially announced by Warner Bros.

The DVD should be released in the U.S. & Canada a little while before the next season begins. Official word from the studio should come within the next month or so.

The Second Season Premiere of "Big Bang Theory" Notches Its Best First Run 8:00 PM Deliveries in Viewers and Adults 18-49.

CBS comedies achieved several high water marks, including BIG BANG THEORY with its most watched 8:00 PM telecast ever, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER with its best ever season premiere in adults 18-49 and TWO AND A HALF MEN with its strongest premiere in adults 18-49 since 2004.

At 8:00 PM, BIG BANG THEORY (P) was second in households (5.7/09), viewers (9.36m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.6/10). This is BIG BANG's best first-run delivery at 8:00 PM in households and viewers, matches the best 8:00PM adults 18-49 delivery and is the second best 8:00 PM adults 25-54 performance.

We have more information on the ratings for last night's episode, "The Bad Fish Paradigm".

It was second in the slot in total viewers and viewers aged 18-49. It was viewed by 9.36 million people, and got a 3.6/10 rating in adults 18-49.

The ratings for the second season premiere of The Big Bang Theory are out. Last night's episode was #2 in its slot (8/7c) and got a 5.6/9 rating. How I Met Your Mother, which followed BBT, increased the rating to a 5.9/9.

Two and a Half Men started off its 6th season with a 9.0/13 rating, also placing it second.

CBS has not yet released the details of Episode 2.02 of The Big Bang Theory, set to air September 29th, but we can reveal the title of the episode. Episode 2.02 will be titled "The Codpiece Topology".

CBS has officially announced Episode 2.01, the season premiere, of The Big Bang Theory. "The Bad Fish Paradigm" will air September 22nd at 8/7c.

After her first date with Leonard goes awry, Penny finds an unwilling confidant in Leonard's anti-social roommate, Sheldon, on the second season premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY.
