We have more ratings news for last night's episode. The show pulled 10.89 million viewers and ranked second, behind House, in both viewers & adults 18-49, with a 4.1/10 rating in that demographic.

We have another original episode next week, "The Friendship Algorithm", which will see Sheldon attempt to make a friend with the help of books. A rerun will air January 26th, but new episodes should return the following week.

The great news we received in today's ratings will be dimmed next week as Fox put their hit series House up against The Big Bang Theory & How I Met Your Mother. There is no doubt that Bang's ratings will suffer, as the audiences of House & Bang surely overlap.

The first new episode of The Big Bang Theory in the year 2009 has aired. Episode 2.12, "The Killer Robot Instability", marks the first of 13 episodes set to air through the remainder of this season. We have another new episode next week, "The Friendship Algorithm", for which details are sketchy as it still hasn't been announced. Then the following week, Jan 26th, there will be a rerun. We do know a little about episode 2.13 (Jan 19th) from the name & a casting call made last year, Sheldon will go to a bookstore to get a book on how to make friends. He'll befriend a little girl. He'll be assisted by a 17-18 year old working at the mall's bookstore, and Sheldon will approach an elderly woman shopping there.

The Big Bang Theory was first in households (6.7/10), viewers (11.22m), adults 25-54 (4.8/12), adults 18-49 (4.1/11) and adults 18-34 (3.4/10). This is The Big Bang Theory's best delivery ever in households, viewers, adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

Episode 2.10 Ratings

The ratings for episode 2.10, The Vartabedian Conundrum, are out. The show pulled a 6.3/10 rating, placing a close second against ABC's popular holiday special "A Charlie Brown Christmas". How I Met Your Mother, which follows Big Bang, got the same rating.

Two and a Half Men pushed CBS into first place with a 9.6/14 rating, over 50% more than lead-in How I Met Your Mother. Worst Week, which follows Two and a Half Men, continued to hemorrhage viewers, losing a third of Two and a Half Men's audience and dropping to second place.

Episode 2.11, which will air December 8th, has not yet been announced but we do have some information on it. It will be titled "The Vartabedian Conundrum", and as Leonard's relationship with Stephanie is moving too fast for him, he runs to Penny for advice.

We also have some information on another new December episode, it will see Battlestar Galactica's Michael Trucco guest star as Leonard's partner on a project and Penny will take a shine to him.

Episode 2.06 Ratings

The rating for last night's episode, "The Cooper-Nowitzki Theorem" are out. The show did well, out shining How I Met Your Mother, which succeeds the show, by quite a wide margin. The show was second with a 6.1/9 rating, while HIMYM slumped to third with a 5.7/8 rating. NBC posed stiff competition to CBS with a special Saturday Night Live airing, this pushed CBS to third place for most of the night, BBT help up comparatively well.
