Jim Parsons nominated for an Emmy in Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category.

Jemaine Clement, Tony Shalhoub, Steve Carell,  Alec Baldwin and Charlie Sheen are also in the running for the Emmy. This marks Jim's first nomination & the show's biggest nomination so far.

The show itself didn't receive a nomination in the Best Comedy category.

I'm 43yrs old and very selective of what I watch on tv and I can honestly say that The Big Bang Theory is the best I've seen yet. Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady are living geniuses. They deserve to win.
