2010 Emmy Nominations

The 2010 Emmy nominations were announced today. Jim Parsons is nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series again. He goes up against Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Matthew Morrison (Glee), Tony Shalhoub (Monk), Steve Carell (The Office) and Alec Baldwin (30 Rock). Jim Parsons was nominated for the award last year but lost to Alec Baldwin.

The show did not get nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series and no other Big Bang Theory star was nominated. The show did pick up nominations for Outstanding Art Direction for a Multi-Camera Series, Outstanding Makeup for a Multi-Camera Series or Special, and Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a Series.

Christine Baranski was also nominated for her guest role as Leonard's mother, Beverly Hofstadter, in The Maternal Congruence. She was nominated at last year's awards for first appearance in the role but lost to Tina Fey. It wasn't her only nomination today; she also picked up a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for CBS's The Good Wife.

I agree with forest! Compared to some really sexist, racists, loud comedy series on TV at the moment TBBT is the good clean fun and refreshingly fast and witty! It does really well in New Zealand too!

Can't believe the writing was not nominated - so sad

I believe the entire show should be nominated and win. Its good clean fun by today's standards; which has been going down-hill fast in my opinion. There are too many comedies out there that make people look like they don't have any common sense at all. This show is refreshing.

TBBT should've been nominated instead of Glee. JIM PARSONS FTW!

If Jim doesen't win, then we're living in a faulty matrix. This is the funniest show since God switched us on.

Good Luck Jim, this is the funniest show I have seen in a long time. Totally addicted.

The show itself should have been nominated. A far better written comedy series than some of the other rubbish from the USA!
