The Big Bang Theory renewed for three seasons

CBS has renewed The Big Bang Theory for three seasons, taking it through to its tenth season in 2016/17. With The Big Bang Theory currently enjoying its highest-rated season yet, its renewal and a multi-year deal were widely expected. This is the show's second three-year deal, following the 2011 deal which saw the show renewed through to its current seventh season.

Warner Bros. TV is reportedly in contract negotitations with the five original cast members, after Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch renewed their contracts last year. Deadline.com believes the show's license fee, at $5-$6m per episode, is one of the highest ever for a sitcom.

"Comedy is a big part of our schedule, and ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is the biggest comedy force on television," said CBS Entertainment chairman Nina Tassler. "This multi-year deal further strengthens our network’s position for future seasons and marks another chapter in the great partnership CBS enjoys with Warner Bros. Television for delivering audiences the best in comedy. We’re proud to work with and showcase the incredible talents of Chuck Lorre, Steve Molaro and this amazing cast every week," she said.

I just watched a few episode early this year. I got hooked on the the show, so i went and bought all the six seasons and just got done with them. I love the show. I think the funniest episode was where Sheldon was trying to learning to drive.

Im torn between liking thath there will be 3 more seasons and dissliking it because it baffels me that this season is the highest ranking season of all. It is nowhere near the brilliance in season 1 and 2. Nowadays the guys are totaly whipped by their respective girlfriends. The development or should I say degeneration of Bernadette is remakeble. Shes gone from beeing a nice sweet girl to a fullblown psycopath. I dont like the show at all and last episode was so depressing. The mean mobing of Raj and Stuart is pusseling and I cant understand whats so funny about Stuart beeing the only one showing up 20 years later. Wherw is the fub in that scene? Perhaps its time that I part ways with the show.
