Comic-Con Roundup July 27, 2010
The cast and crew of The Big Bang Theory appeared at Comic-Con last week in San Diego to an explosive reception. This was the show's third appearance at the geek-oriented event. The cast signed autographs, Wil Wheaton moderated a Q&A panel with the cast and crew, and there was a special surprise thrown in too. Here's a round-up of all the Big Bang happenings at Comic-Con.
-Mayim Bialik (Blossom) is to reprise her role as Sheldon's potential love interest, Amy Fowler, in the Season 4 premiere of the show, it was revealed at Comic-Con.
-Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple Inc., is to appear in the show during its fourth season.
-Barenaked Ladies, the band behind the show's theme tune, appeared at Comic-Con to perform the theme tune live. Check out a video of their performance on YouTube.
-The cast also performed a sing-along of Soft Kitty, which you can watch on YouTube.
-Leonard & Penny won't be rekindling their romance again any time soon, according to show-runners Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady.
-E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos interviewed all the cast members at the event. Check out her video interviews at the E! website.
Episode Tournament: Seasons 1-3 July 21, 2010
We are running an episode tournament to find the fans' favorite of The Big Bang Theory. All three seasons of the show are included in this tournament.
The tournament will last for eight weeks and begins with the nominations round. In the nominations round you may select up to 8 episodes to see go through to the knock-out rounds. Then round-by-round we eliminate episodes until we have a winner.

2010 Emmy Nominations July 8, 2010
The 2010 Emmy nominations were announced today. Jim Parsons is nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series again. He goes up against Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Matthew Morrison (Glee), Tony Shalhoub (Monk), Steve Carell (The Office) and Alec Baldwin (30 Rock). Jim Parsons was nominated for the award last year but lost to Alec Baldwin.
The show did not get nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series and no other Big Bang Theory star was nominated. The show did pick up nominations for Outstanding Art Direction for a Multi-Camera Series, Outstanding Makeup for a Multi-Camera Series or Special, and Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a Series.
Christine Baranski was also nominated for her guest role as Leonard's mother, Beverly Hofstadter, in The Maternal Congruence. She was nominated at last year's awards for first appearance in the role but lost to Tina Fey. It wasn't her only nomination today; she also picked up a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for CBS's The Good Wife.
Season 3 Episode Tournament: Result July 8, 2010
We were running an Episode Tournament to find the fans' favorite episode from Season 3 of The Big Bang Theory. We are now able to announce the result of the tournament.
The Adhesive Duck Deficiency defeated The Einstein Approximation with 58.76% of the vote to 41.24%. Thanks to everybody who voted.
We will be running a full Seasons 1-3 tournament in a few weeks. To recap all of our tournaments: The Pancake Batter Anomaly was the winner of the Season 1 tournament, The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis won the Season 2 and Seasons 1-2 tournaments, and The Adhesive Duck Deficiency won the Season 3 tournament.

Amazon.com has revealed the cover art to the upcoming The Big Bang Theory: Season 3 DVD and Blu-ray. The releases were announced a week ago but without the cover art. Warner hasn't confirmed the art so it may change, and there will be slight differences for releases outside of the US & Canada. Bill Prady reveals Season 4 Premiere Date
The Big Bang Theory will return for Season 4 on Thursday, September 23rd at 8/7c. Bill Prady revealed the date today on his Twitter account. CBS announced their plans in May to have Big Bang spearhead a new hour of comedy on Thursday nights.

Jim Parsons to seek separate contract negotiations?
The Big Bang Theory cast are currently renegotiating their contracts in light of the show's increasing success, and Deadline Hollywood reports Jim Parsons may be looking to negotiate his contract separately from Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki. Many had presumed the cast would act like the cast of Friends and negotiate together. Warner, however, are reportedly planning to offer a 'favored nation' deal that sees all three paid the best salary any of them were able to negotiate.

Season 3 DVD Announced June 23, 2010
Warner Bros. has announced the The Big Bang Theory: Season 3 DVD and Blu-ray will be released in the U.S. on September 14th, according to TVShowsOnDVD.com.
The DVD will contain 3 discs and the Blu-ray will hold 2. The episodes will be presented in widescreen on both, with high definition quality on the Blu-ray. Audio is reportedly English Dolby Surround 5.1 for both, which would be an improvement for the DVDs as they previously enjoyed only stereo audio. A Portuguese stereo audio track will also be included.
Extras are a Gag Reel, a tour of the set with Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, and a "Take-Out with the Cast of The Big Bang Theory" featurette including interviews with the cast and crew. The cover art work isn't yet available.
