Last night's episode finished first in key demographics, delivering the night's best showings with adults 18-49 and other key demos.
The Big Bang Theory was watched by 13.58m people, up by 1.95m from last week's episode. The show came second in households and total viewers, settling behind ABC behemoth Dancing with the Stars.
The Big Bang Theory delivered a 5.2/13 rating with adults 18-49, up 13% from last week. The show also recorded a 6.2/14 adults 25-54, an improvement of 15% over last week. Big Bang also set a 3.6/10 rating in adults 18-34, up 6% from last week.
The Big Bang Theory also managed to build on lead-in Two and a Half Men in the key demographics. Men scored a 4.6/12 rating with adults 18-49, against Big Bang's 5.2/13. Bang also posted higher numbers with adults 18-34 and 25-54.
Episode 3.20 Ratings May 4, 2010
The Big Bang Theory finished a strong second in the 9pm slot last night. Filling in for Two and a Half Men, the show came second behind ABC's Dancing with the Stars. The original episode was watched by 11.54 million people, managing to come joint first in adults 18-49 with a 4.5/12 rating.
A rerun of Big Bang finished third in the regular 9:30 slot, clocking 10.30 million viewers. The repeat finished in first place with adults 18-49, setting a 3.6/10 rating in the demo.
'Big Bang' at 9:00 tonight May 3, 2010
Tonight's original episode of The Big Bang Theory will air at 9:00/8c. The episode is The Spaghetti Catalyst, which sees Sheldon go to extreme lengths to keep Penny and Leonard talking. This will be followed by a rerun of The Einstein Approximation in the usual time of 9:30/8:30c.
New episodes return to UK April 23, 2010
New episodes of The Big Bang Theory are to return to British screens next month on E4. The digital station has so far only aired the first eleven episodes of Season 3.
The new episodes will air Thursdays at 9pm from May 13th, starting with 3.12 "The Psychic Vortex". The show will air just before episodes of CBS stablemate How I Met Your Mother.
CBS Announces Season Finale April 20, 2010
CBS has announced the details of the final episode of the third season, "The Lunar Excitation", which will air May 24th. Mayim Bialik ("Blossom") guest stars and Sara Gilbert returns as Leslie Winkle.

'Big Bang' at 9:00 on May 3 April 15, 2010
CBS is to air a new episode of The Big Bang Theory at 9:00/8c on Monday, May 3rd, followed by a rerun of the show in its regular slot. Big Bang is displacing Two and a Half Men from its regular 9/8c slot.
Charlie Sheen's personal troubles led to Men being two episodes short this year. Two and a Half Men remains America's most popular sitcom, although Big Bang has been giving it a run for its money with adults 18-49.
The original episode of The Big Bang Theory airing May 3rd is "The Spaghetti Catalyst".

CBS has announced the details of the penultimate episode of the season, "The Staircase Implementation", which will air May 17th.

Last night's episode finished a strong second against ABC behemoth Dancing with the Stars. The show was down in viewers from its last showing, but its share of viewers held up well.
The Big Bang Theory was watched by 13.12 million people, setting an 8.9/13 rating in households. The show scored a 5.0/13 rating in adults 18-49, also finishing second to Dancing. The show built on lead-in Two and a Half Men in the adults demographic, improving on Men's 4.6/12 rating.
