CBS Announces Episode 3.16 February 5, 2010
CBS has announced the details of episode 3.16, in which Stan Lee will appear as himself. The comic book legend's appearance will air March 1st, after two weeks of reruns (Feb 15 & 22).
"The Excelsior Acquisition" - Sheldon winds up in traffic court when he gets a ticket because of Penny, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, March 1 (9:31-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Last night's episode came first in all key metrics. 15.44 million people tuned in to the show, giving it a 10.0/14 rating in households.
Revised figures: The Big Bang Theory once again built on Two and a Half Men in the adults 18-49 demographic, with Bang garnering a 5.4/13 rating up from Men's 5.1/12.

CBS Announces Episode 3.15 January 29, 2010
CBS has announced the details of the fifteenth episode of the season, "The Large Hadron Collision", which will air February 8th.
"The Large Hadron Collision" - Leonard can only bring one guest on a trip to see CERN's Large Hadron Collider (the world's largest and highest energy particle accelerator) in Switzerland on Valentine's Day, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Feb. 8 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

CBS has announced the details of the fourteenth episode of the season, "The Einstein Approximation", which will air February 1st.
"The Einstein Approximation" - Sheldon's search for the answer to a physics problem leads him to work at the Cheesecake Factory with Penny, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Feb. 1 (9:31-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Season 3 UK Release Date Announced January 20, 2010
The Big Bang Theory: Season 3 is to be released on DVD in the United Kingdom on September 27th. The DVD is expected to be released around that time in the United States and Canada.
Little is known about the DVD at this early stage, except that it will include all episodes from the present season and is likely to be a 4-disc set. It's available to pre-order from Amazon.co.uk for £18.69, while Play.com are taking pre-orders at £17.99.

CBS won in all key ratings measures yesterday, with How I Met Your Mother and Accidentally On Purpose hitting season highs. The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men both fell from their season highs last week.
The Big Bang Theory came first in all key measurements. The show was watched by 14.99m people and scored an 8.7/13 rating in households. The show fell slightly from Two and a Half Men's ratings in adults 18-49, garnering a 5.2/12 rating against Men's 5.3/12. Big Bang did build on Men in the 18-34 demographic though, setting a 4.1/10 rating against Men's 3.8/10.
Season 2 DVD Going Down Under January 14, 2010
Warner Home Video is to release the second season of The Big Bang Theory on DVD in Australia on March 3rd. The DVD will also be released in New Zealand on March 10th. This is according to listings on EzyDVD.com.au and MightyApe.co.nz, who are both now taking pre-orders.
The Season 2 DVD was released in the U.S. last September and in the U.K. & Ireland in October. The DVD contains all 23 episodes of the show's second season, along with 2 featurettes and a gag reel.
Season 1 is to be released on DVD in France exclusively by FNAC.com. They will begin selling the DVD on March 3rd. DVDs from other Region 2 nations were available to France, but only included French subtitles - not audio track. The FNAC listing suggests this DVD will be dubbed.
Episode 3.12 Ratings January 12, 2010
The ratings for last night's episode, the first original episode of the year, are out. The show broke new highs last night, with 15.81 million people tuning in.
The Big Bang Theory came first in total viewers and households. The show also hit a new high in the adults 18-49 demographic, scoring a 5.7/14 rating.
The show yet again improved on its lead-in Two and a Half Men in the adults demo, although Men continues to lead in total viewers. Men was watched by 17.30 million people and set a 5.4/14 A18-49 rating.

We have a couple of stories to briefly report today.
-The Big Bang Theory won the favorite TV comedy award at this year's Television Critics Association (TCA) awards. Get a full round-up of the awards from the LA Times.
-At the TCA winter press tour, creators Chuck Lorre & Bill Prady dismissed any idea of a Sheldon/Penny relationship and elaborated more on Sheldon's sexuality. Read more at EW.com.
-Also at the TCA tour, it was revealed that Stan Lee, comic book writer and former head of Marvel Comics, will have a cameo role in a February episode. A prop signed by Stan Lee will be also appearing in tonight's episode. Read more at IGN.com.
-There will be a rerun on January 25th of 3.02 The Jiminy Conjecture.
