The Big Bang Theory is commanding the highest ad rates outside of the NFL, according to Adweek. In their annual update on ad prices, Adweek report The Big Bang Theory is charging $326,260 per 30-second spot this season, ranking below only the NFL.

In the key adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a 5.1/17 rating, down a notch from last week's 5.2/17. The show had a 4.5/13 rating in the demo this week last year.

The Big Bang Theory sees its biggest Live+3 lift October 8, 2013
The Big Bang Theory posted its largest gains in viewers and adults 25-54 in the Live + 3 day ratings yet. These ratings add viewers who watched the show on DVR within 3 days of its broadcast to the ratings of the show's live broadcast.
The audience for last week's episode rose by 4.39 million people to 22.61m. The show jumped 2.2 ratings points in the 25-54 demo, rising to 9.0 from 6.8. This marks the show's largest 3-day lift in viewers and adults 25-54.
In the key 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory rose 1.9 rating points to 7.1 from 5.2. This matches the show's best jump in this demo.

7.03 "The Scavenger Vortex" was watched by 18.22 million people, down by just 0.77m from last week's 8:00 episode. In the adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a 5.2/17 rating, down three tenths from 5.5/17 last week. The Big Bang Theory finished first by all key ratings metrics and was the night's most-watched and highest-rated show.
Compared to the same week last year, The Big Bang Theory added over three million viewers and rose by three tenths of a ratings point in the 18-49 demo.

Bob Newhart returns to TBBT, Bill Nye guest stars October 2, 2013
Emmy Award-winning actor Bob Newhart is set to return as Professor Proton in the November 7 episode of The Big Bang Theory. Bill Nye, the Science Guy, will guest star as himself in the episode.
In the episode, after Professor Proton seeks Leonard's help with an experiment, a hurt Sheldon responds by befriending a rival TV science show host, Bill Nye.
Bob Newhart recently won an Emmy Award, the first in his decades long career, for his guest apperance on The Big Bang Theory last season. When the legendary comedic actor agreed to guest star on the show, it was on the understanding he would appear in more than one episode.
