CBS Announces Seventh Season Premiere August 27, 2013
CBS has issued the press release for the special one hour season premiere of The Big Bang Theory. Regina King (Southland) reprises her role as Mrs. Davis. The show returns for its seventh season on Thursday, September 26 at 8/7c.
"The Hofstadter Insufficiency" and "The Deception Verification" – Sheldon and Penny share intimate secrets while Leonard is away at sea, later, Sheldon’s feelings are crushed when Leonard returns. Meanwhile, Raj gets consoled about his ex-girlfriend and Wolowitz’s relationship with his mother causes an unusual threat to his masculinity, on a special one hour of the seventh season premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY Thursday, Sept. 26 (8:00 – 9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Regina King returns as Mrs. Davis, the University’s Director of Employee Relations, and Kevin Sussman returns as Stuart, the comic book store owner.

A look at The Big Bang Theory ad rates August 13, 2013
Rating for the 2012-13 television year were covered in several articles here. What is sometimes forgotten, is that television ratings are the major thing used to set ad rates for the various television shows. The article here discusses the ad rates for the top ten shows for the past year and the previous year.
Also looked at are the 18-49 demo ratings, how the top ten ratings compare to the top ten ad costs, the expensive and bargains based on a cost per ratings point, and some speculation as to the what ad rate we might expect for The Big Bang Theory, how much those ad rates bring in for CBS, and how that might affect the renegotiation for the renewal of The Big Bang Theory.

Season 6 Ratings Wrap Up August 5, 2013
This will be the final article in a series of three articles looking at the breakdown of the show's ratings and its rankings. It will concentrate on the Live + 7 Day ratings. That is, the Live ratings, plus the next seven days of viewing on DVRs. The show ended the season as the #1 Comedy and the only half hour show to be in the top ten in total viewers and in the demo.

Season 6 DVD & Blu-ray announced August 3, 2013
Warner Home Video has announced the release of The Big Bang Theory: Season Six DVD and Blu-ray this September in the United States and Canada. The sixth season box-sets will be released in North America on Tuesday, September 10. Fans in the United Kingdom and Ireland have a slightly shorter wait, with the The Big Bang Theory: Season 6 DVD and Blu-ray landing on Monday, September 2.
The three-disc DVD and five-disc Blu-ray releases in North America will include all twenty-four episodes of the show's latest season. The Blu-ray set includes the episodes on both high-definition Blu-ray, standard-definition DVD and UltraViolet downloads. The downloads are only available in the USA and must be redeemed within two years of the release date.
The bonus features are "The Big Bang Theory: The Final Comedy Frontier", a featurette taking you behind the scenes of Howard's space mission with the cast and rea-life astronauts Mike Massimino and Buzz Aldrin; "Houston, We Have A Sit-Com", a feature about the cast surprising Astronaut Joe Acaba with a live Skype chat as he orbits the earth in the International Space Station; "Electromagnetism", four featurettes looking at the season's best relationship moments; Deleted Scenes, a Gag Reel, and the 2013 Paley Festival Q&A.
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, The Big Bang Theory: Season Six DVD and Blu-ray will be released on Monday, September 2. Both the DVD and Blu-ray also include UltraViolet downloads. The Big Bang Theory: Seasons 1-6 DVD box-set will also be released September 2nd, as will a Seasons 1-6 Blu-ray box-set.
