CBS Announces Episode 6.23 April 16, 2013
CBS has issued the press release for the penultimate episode of The Big Bang Theory's sixth season, which will air Thursday, May 9. Kate Micucci reprises her role as Lucy, Raj's love interest, in the episode.
The Love Spell Potential – When the girls’ trip to Vegas falls through, the guys invite them to play Dungeons & Dragons, causing Sheldon and Amy’s relationship to take an unexpected turn. Meanwhile, Koothrappali and Lucy go on a very awkward date, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, May 9 (8:00 – 8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

A rerun of The Egg Salad Equivalency airs this Thursday before the show returns on April 25 for the first of the season's four remaining episodes. Don't worry though, The Big Bang Theory has already been renewed for a seventh season so the show will be back next season.

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory finished first in the ratings for its time slot and ranked as the night's most-watched and highest-rated broadcast.
"The Tenure Turbulence" was watched by 17.24 million people, adding 1.34 million people over the last original episode. The Big Bang Theory scored a 5.2/17 rating in the critical adults 18-49 demographic, rising from 4.8/16 on March 14.
The Big Bang Theory was the night's #1 show in viewers, households, adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54.

Comedy legend Bob Newhart to guest star March 22, 2013
Bob Newhart, the legendary stand-up comedian and actor known for his sitcoms The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart in the 1970s and '80s, is set to guest star on The Big Bang Theory.
Newhart will play a professor of great importance to Sheldon and also to Leonard, too. His character, Professor Proton, is the former host of Sheldon's favorite science TV show as a kid. In the episode, which is set to air on Thursday, May 2, Sheldon sets out to meet his idol when he finds out Professor Proton can now be hired for parties and events.
In recent years, the six-time Emmy nominated actor has made guest appearances in shows including ER, Desperate Housewives and NCIS. His guest spot on The Big Bang Theory marks his first half-hour sitcom apperance since 2005.
