Episode 6.12 Final Ratings January 4, 2013
Yesterday's episode of The Big Bang Theory has been adjusted upwards in the final ratings to mark even greater series highs. The night's episode all-time highs for the show in total viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
"The Egg Salad Equivalency" was watched by 19.25 million people, the show's largest audience to date and an increase of 1.62m people over the second most-watched episode. In the key adults 18-49 demographic, the show was adjusted up a tenth of a point to a 6.1/18 rating. The episode dethroned the third season episode, "The Large Hadron Collision", to become the show's best performance in the demo. The episode also scored a hugely dominant rating of 7.8/19 in the adults 25-54 demo, setting another series high.

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory set a new series high in total viewers and matched its high in the adults 18-49 demographic. With only CBS airing originals last night, the network performed better than the other four networks combined.
"The Egg Salad Equivalency" was watched by 18.98 million people, up by 1.35m people on the previous record set by "The 43 Peculiarity". In the important adults 18-49 demo, The Big Bang Theory scored a 6.0/17 rating, matching the series-high set back in the third season by "The Large Hadron Collision".
The Big Bang Theory finished first in its time slot by all key ratings metrics and was the night's most-watched and highest-rated broadcast. The show will almost certainly rank as the week's most-watched and highest-rated show among adults 18-49.
CBS Announces Episode 6.13 January 3, 2013
CBS has issued the press release for next week's episode of The Big Bang Theory.
"The Bakersfield Expedition" - While the guys take a road trip to a comic book convention dressed as "Star Trek: The Next Generation" characters, the girls stay home and try to interpret a comic book, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Jan. 10 (8:00 - 8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

'Big Bang Theory' a big winner at Satellite Awards December 17, 2012
The Big Bang Theory won three awards at the 2012 Satellite Awards, dominating the TV comedy categories. The winners were announced by the International Press Academy at the Intercontinental Hotel in Beverly Hills yesterday evening.
The Big Bang Theory won the Best Television Series, Comedy or Music award. The show beat out competition from Community (NBC), Girls (HBO), Happy Endings (ABC), Modern Family (ABC), The Office (NBC), Parks and Recreation (NBC) and Up All Night (NBC).
Johnny Galecki won the award in the Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series category. Fellow Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons was a contender for the award, along with Up All Night's Will Arnett, House of Lies' Don Cheadle, Louie's Louis C.K. and Community's Joel McHale.
Kaley Cuoco took home the Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical Series award. Cuoco was up against Up All Night's Christina Applegate, Enlightened's Laure Dern, Girls' Lena Dunham, Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Parks and Recreation's Amy Poehler.

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory ranked as the night's top-rated and most-watched broadcast.
"The Santa Simulation" was watched by 16.77 million people, down slightly from last week's audience of 16.94m. In the adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a hugely dominant 5.4/17 rating, up from the previous episode's 5.2/16. The Big Bang Theory was the night's #1 show households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.
'Big Bang' receives two Golden Globe nominations December 13, 2012
The Big Bang Theory is nominated for two Golden Globe Awards. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the 70th Golden Globe nominations today at Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The Big Bang Theory was nominated for the Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical award for the second time, having first been nominated in 2010. The show faces competition from Episodes (Showtime), Girls (HBO), Smash (NBC), and Modern Family (ABC) - the current holder of the award.
Jim Parsons was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical category for the second time, having won the award back at the 68th Golden Globe Awards. The other contenders for the award are Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Don Cheadle (House of Lies), Louis C.K. (Louie), and Matt LeBlanc (Episodes) - who won the award last year.
The award ceremony will air live on NBC on Sunday, January 13 and will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
'Big Bang' garners two SAG award nominations December 13, 2012
The Big Bang Theory received two nominations at the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, it was announced yesterday. The award ceremony will air Sunday, January 27 on TNT and TBS at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
The Big Bang Theory was nominated for the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series award. This is the show's second consecutive nomination for this award, which was won by Modern Family at this year's ceremony. The other contenders for the award are NBC's 30 Rock, Fox's Glee, Showtime's Nurse Jackie, NBC's The Office and ABC's Modern Family.
Jim Parsons was nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series category for the first time. He faces competition from Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Louis C.K. (Louie), Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet (both Modern Family).
