Episode 6.10 Ratings December 7, 2012

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory finished first in the ratings in its time slot and was the night's highest-rated and most-watched broadcast.

"The Fish Guts Displacement" was watched by 16.94 million people, down from 17.25m last week. In the important adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a 5.2/16 rating, down three nothces from the previous episode's 5.5/16. The Big Bang Theory ranked as the night's #1 program in viewers, households, adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34.

CBS Announces Episode 6.11 December 6, 2012

CBS has issued the press release for next week's episode of The Big Bang Theory, 6.11 "The Santa Simulation", a Christmas-themed episode. This will be the last original episode of 2012, but Season Six does of course continue in the New Year.

"The Santa Simulation" - Sheldon revisits some Christmas memories during a game of Dungeons and Dragons, while Penny, Bernadette and Amy try to find a girl for Koothrappali when he joins the girls for ladies' night, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Dec. 13 (8:00 - 8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Episode 6.09 Ratings November 30, 2012

Yesterday's episode of The Big Bang Theory dominated its time slot to finish as the night's most-watched and highest-rated program, but fell slightly from the previous episode's all-time highs.

"The Parking Spot Escalation" was watched by 17.25 million people, down slightly from the audience of 17.63m on November 15th. This was the show's second largest audience ever. In the adults 18-49 demographic, the show scored a 5.5/16 rating, down two notches from the 5.7/17 rating of the previous episode.

The Big Bang Theory finished first in its time slot in viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and was the night's #1 program in each of those demos.

CBS Announces Episode 6.10 November 19, 2012

CBS has issued the press release for the tenth episode of the season, "The Fish Guts Displacement", which will air Thursday, December 6. Meagen Fay (Malcolm in the Middle, Roseanne) guest stars as Bernadette's mother, while Casey Sander (Home Improvement) reprises his role as her father.

The Fish Guts Displacement – Sheldon tries to nurse a sick Amy back to health, while Wolowitz prepares for an upcoming fishing trip with his father-in-law, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Dec. 6 (8:00 – 8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Episode 6.08 Ratings: Largest audience yet November 16, 2012

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory delivered the show's largest audience yet for the second week running and hit a season high in the adults 18-49 demographic.

"The 43 Peculiarity" was watched by a record-breaking 17.39 million people, up from last week's all-time high of 16.68 million. In the adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory hit a season high with a hugely dominant 5.5/17 rating, up by four notches from last week's 5.1/15. The Big Bang Theory was the night's most-watched and highest-rated broadcast for the eighth consecutive week.

UK season premiere is E4's most-watched show this year November 16, 2012

The UK premiere of The Big Bang Theory: Season 6 on E4 last night became the channel's most-watched show of the year and The Big Bang Theory's best performance for the station yet.

The sixth season opener, "The Date Night Variable", was watched by 2.31 million viewers, the digital channel's biggest audience of the year so far. The show brought in a large adults 16-34 audience, the key demographic for E4, with 1.17m viewers in the demo and a strong second-place share of 25.2%.

'TBBT' garners 3 People's Choice Award nominations November 15, 2012

The nominations for the 39th People's Choice Awards were announced earlier today at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills. The Big Bang Theory and its stars received three nominations at the awards. Kaley Cuoco is presenting the awards ceremony again this year, which will air live on CBS at 9/8c on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

The Big Bang Theory was nominated in the Favorite Network TV Comedy category. This is the show's fourth consecutive nomination for the award, which the show won at the 36th People's Choice Awards. The Big Bang Theory's competition this year is Glee, Modern Family, New Girl and last year's winner How I Met Your Mother.

Jim Parsons was nominated for the Favorite TV Comedy Actor award for the fourth time running. He goes up against the current winner Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Chris Colfer (Glee), Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ty Burrell (both Modern Family).

Kaley Cuoco, who is also presenting the ceremony, was nominated in the Favorite TV Comedy Actress category for the second consecutive year. The other contenders in the category are Sofia Vergara (Modern Family), Zooey Deschanel (New Girl), Jane Lynch and Lea Michele (both Glee).

Episode 6.07 Final Ratings: Biggest audience yet November 9, 2012

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory received the show's largest audience to date, breaking the record set by last season's "The Friendship Contraction" earlier this year.

"The Habitation Configuration", which revived Sheldon's Fun with Flags videocast with Star Trek: The Next Generation's Wil Wheaton and LeVar Burton, was watched by 16.68 million people. The episode broke the previous series high of 16.54 million, set February 2, 2012, by 140,00 people and also set a series high rating in households.

In the important adults 18-49 demographic, the show was adjusted up in the final ratings to 5.1/15 rating, down slightly from last week's 5.2/15 rating. The Big Bang Theory finished first in its time slot with households, total viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. The Big Bang Theory was also the night's #1 program in households, viewers and the key adult demographics.
