CBS Announces Episode 6.06 October 11, 2012
CBS has issued the press release for the sixth episode of the season, "The Extract Obliteration", which will air Thursday, November 1. Renowned theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking lends his voice to the episode.

CBS has announced the October 25, Halloween-themed episode of The Big Bang Theory. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin makes a cameo appearance as himself in the episode.

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory finished first in its time slot and was the night's highest-rated and most-watched broadcast.
"The Decoupling Fluctuation" was watched by 15.38 million people, down slightly from last week's audience of 15.66. In the crucial adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a 4.9/16 rating, down a notch from last week's 5.0/15. With the absence of Modern Family this week, The Big Bang Theory is set to be the week's highest rated program in the 18-49 demo.
CBS Announces Episode 6.04 October 2, 2012
CBS has announced the October 18th episode of The Big Bang Theory. Ken Lerner (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) guest stars in the episode. Pasha Lychnikoff reprises his role as Dimitri and real-life astronaut Mike Massimino appears again in the episode.

Episode 6.01 Final Ratings September 28, 2012
The sixth season premiere of The Big Bang Theory was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. Last night's episode also received the show's largest audience and highest 18-49 demo rating ever for a season premiere.
"The Date Night Variable" was watched by 15.66 million people and scored a 9.3/16 rating in households. In the adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory was adjusted up two tenths of a ratings point to a 5.0/15 rating. The Big Bang Theory finished first in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 in its time period.

The sixth season premiere of The Big Bang Theory was Thursday night's top-rated and most-watched program. Compared to last year's hour-long season opener, The Big Bang Theory held steady in the adults 18-49 demographic and added by 1.24 million viewers in the overnight ratings.
"The Date Night Variable" was watched by 15.30 million people, up by 1.25m on the fifth season opener, The Skank Reflex Analysis. This was the show's largest audience since 5.18 The Werewolf Transformation. In the adults 18-49 demographic, the season six opener scored a 4.8/15 rating, matching the rating of last year's season premiere. The Big Bang Theory was the top-rated and most-watched broadcast of the night.
The newly relocated Two and a Half Men, which now follows The Big Bang Theory, continued CBS's domination at 8:30. Men's tenth season opener received an audience of 12.37 million people and scored a 3.5/10 rating among adults 18-49. The show retained about 80% of The Big Bang Theory's audience, which is considerably better than the occupant of this slot last season, the short-lived How To Be a Gentleman. Two and a Half Men's ratings were understandably down following the move from Mondays at 9, a time period it dominated for many years, to Thursdays at 8:30.

CBS has announced the third episode of The Big Bang Theory's new season, "The Higgs Boson Observation", which will air Thursday, October 11. Margo Harshman guest stars as Alex, Sheldon's new assistant, in the episode.

Big Bang Theory Episode Tournament: Result September 26, 2012
Our Big Bang Theory: Seasons 1-5 episode tournament has now closed and the result has been declared. Thank you to everybody who voted in the tournament.
Episode 3.08 "The Adhesive Duck Deficiency" won the tournament. In the episode, Leonard, Raj and Howard spend the night camping in the desert to watch a meteor shower. Meanwhile, Penny slips in the shower and is reliant on Sheldon to get her to the hospital.
"The Adhesive Duck Deficiency" received 54.01% of the vote in the final round to beat "The Staircase Implementation". The winning episode received 1,399 votes throughout the tournament and had an overall vote share of 13.5%.
'Buffy' alum Ken Lerner to guest star September 20, 2012
Ken Lerner, perhaps most well known for his role as Principal Flutie in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is to guest star in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory. Lerner will play a love interest of Mrs. Wolowitz (voiced by Carol Ann Susi), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Don't expect to be seeing more of Mrs. Wolowitz, though. Executive producer Steve Molaro told The Hollywood Reporter, "The glimpse on the rooftop is all you're going to get for now! Isn't she better left to the imagination? There are no plans to actually see her on camera and I think it's probably better that way.". Lerner will appear in the October 18 episode of the show, potentially when Howard will be returning from space.
