Episode 4.01 Ratings: First Look September 24, 2010
Early ratings data shows The Big Bang Theory made a big bang yesterday in its new slot. The season premiere scored scored a 9.2/15 rating in households. This was up over 20% on last year's premiere, which followed Two and a Half Men. The show also outperformed the previous occupant of the Thursday slot, the reality show Survivor.

Eliza Dushku to guest star on The Big Bang Theory
Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Eliza Dushku is to guest star in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory, according to TV Guide. Dushku, known for her work on Buffy and spin-off Angel, will appear in the seventh episode of the season as an FBI agent assigned to vet Wolowitz for security clearance.

CBS Announces Episode 4.03 September 20, 2010
CBS has announced the details for the third episode of the new season of The Big Bang Theory. Laurie Metcalf and Mayim Bialik guest star in the episode.
The Zazzy Substitution - The guys are concerned as Sheldon searches for an alternative to human companionship, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Oct. 7 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Kaley Cuoco to miss 'a few' episodes as the show's hiatus is extended
Kaley Cuoco is going to be missing from more Big Bang Theory episodes than originally thought, according to the Ausiello Files. While the actress is expected to make a full recovery from her recent horseback-riding injury, sources close to the show indicate she won't just be missing from the episode taped this week. The show's previously scheduled hiatus is to be extended by a week to allow writers time to write Penny out of future episodes.
The Big Bang Theory stars get large wage rise
The stars of The Big Bang Theory are getting a large salary increase as the show's popularity continues to soar. Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki are set to receive $200,000 per episode this season, according to Deadline Hollywood. Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are to renegotiate their contracts next.
Limited 4-disc Season 3 DVD to be released in Australia
A limited 4-disc edition of The Big Bang Theory: Season 3 is being released on DVD in Australia. The bonus disc contains 30 minutes of previously unreleased footage from the 2009 Comic Con panel. The set goes on sale on October 13th and can be pre-ordered from JB Hi-fi.

'Big Bang' takes over 'Late Late Show' September 16, 2010
The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is to mark The Big Bang Theory's move to Thursdays with an entire episode dedicated to the hit sitcom. The themed show will air on Wednesday, September 22nd, the day before Big Bang moves to Thursdays for its new season.
The themed episode starts with Ferguson and a sketch taped on the set of The Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang cast will then appear for the chat show's tweets and emails section, a comedy sketch and guest interviews.
The Late Late Show airs weeknights at 12:35/11:35c after The Late Show with David Letterman on CBS.

Winning by a resounding 65%-35% margin, The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis beat The Staircase Implementation to finish in first place. The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis previously won our Season 2 and Seasons 1 & 2 tournaments.

Kaley Cuoco breaks a leg
Kaley Cuoco is on temporary medical leave after breaking a leg. Cuoco broke the leg in a horse-riding accident this weekend. According to the Ausiello Files, Penny has been written out of the episode being taped today. The show is then taking a previously-scheduled break for a week.
Kevin Sorbo to guest star
Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Andromeda) will guest star as Sheldon's older, cooler brother in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory. Sorbo revealed his guest stint at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, according to CultureMob.com.

With the new season of The Big Bang Theory nearly upon us, there has been a lot of news about upcoming guest appearances. Here's a roundup of the latest guest star news.
-Mayim Bialik (Blossom) is appearing in the season opener, The Robotic Manipulation, as Sheldon's date.
-Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, appears as himself in the second episode of the season, The Cruciferous Vegetable Amplification.
-Laurie Metcalf is returning as Sheldon's mother in what will probably be the third episode of the season.
-Katee Sackhoff and George Takei are to appear as themselves in the episode tentatively scheduled for October 14, according to TV Squad. While Howard considers getting back together with Bernadette, the pair will present opposing points of the view on the matter as figments of Howard's imagination. Melissa Rauch appears again as Bernadette in the episode.
-Wil Wheaton is poised to make another appearance in the show, according to the Ausiello Files. Bill Prady told Michael Ausiello that he wants to revive the bitter feud between Sheldon & Evil Wil Wheaton this season.
