Merry Christmas Everybody! Posted 2nd December 2008
We've made our first Step into Christmas today, and made a change to our site for the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. We decided we didn't want another Blue Christmas, so we changed the colour scheme of the site. It's now red & green, and there is a mysterious addition to the logo above. Santa Claus isn't coming to town - he's already here! Some areas of the site are unchanged, we like Christmas as much as the next guy but we weren't that keen on updating everything only to change them back in a couple of weeks.
In commemoration of this brand new design, which will stick around until some time after Christmas (when the post-Christmas indigestion wears off and I can move again), we're asking people to name their favourite Christmas song, whether it is a traditional carol or a pop sensation. Please let us know in the comments box.
You might notice a few Christmas songs are mentioned in this post, until the end when I ran out of songs and ways to mention them, those may or may not be this Webmaster's personal Christmas faves.
Welcome to Version 2.0! Posted 29th October 2008
A very warm welcome to Version 2.0 of The Big Bang Theory Site. We're sporting a brand new theme, with brighter colours and a logo featuring the cast, we've added new features (such as the ability to rate episodes in the Episode Guide!) and tweaked the old features to make them better.
We've added new content, from the exciting new Character pages to the impressively dull legal pages (Terms of Service, Copyright Notice, Privacy Policy).
Most of all, we've kept everything you liked about the old site: our extensive Episode Guide, our informative Cast pages, our fun Polls, and we will still be bringing you the latest Big Bang Theory news as it breaks.
We'd really like to hear what you think, do you like it? Did you think the old site was better? Have you found a pesky bug we haven't fixed? Please, do let us know!

Episode 2.07, set to air November 10th, will be titled "THE PANTY PINATA POLARIZATION".

This website will be down for maintenance work tomorrow, we will be launching a new design. The site should be down for no more than 2 hours and we think the upgrade will be complete by 10AM EST/7AM PST/3PM GMT. We hope you will check it out.

As you may have deduced from the "Something BIG is about to happen" banner up above, we are working on a big update to the site. There will be a completely new design, along with some new features & content.
We're looking for your feedback to make the new site as good as possible.
Is there anything you think we should add to the new site? Is there anything you don't like about this version that you want us to fix in the update? Is there something you do like and don't want us to change? Please do let us know, your input means a lot to us, whether it's complementary, critical, or even handed; we do want to hear from you!

We have launched a new feature today, the ability to add your comments on each episode page. Whether you're writing a small comment on the episode, or a grand review, you can use this to air your views on the episodes.
Just head over to our Episode Guide, find your episode, and have your say!
Poll Updates Posted 14th October 2008
We have launched a new feature today, "How The World Voted" shows how different countries voted in polls. We posted a little while ago about how we were working on this feature, it is now complete. Head over to our Poll section to check it out. It is only enabled on certain polls, in some polls the vote is largely unanimous so putting that data up isn't worth it, indicated by the globe symbol next to the poll name.
We have also added a few new polls: Which season is better? Which character would you want in an emergency? The not-so-serious "Which character would you want to be U.S. President?" followed by the ever so slightly more serious "Who should be U.S. President?". Please check the polls out and cast your vote!
Quote Corner Updates Posted 8th October 2008
As you may know, we recently launched "Quote Corner" a section of the site for all the best Big Bang Theory quotes. Just a few weeks ago we opened up the rating system to let people have their say on how good each quote is, now we've launched another feature - a most popular quotes page, so now you needn't trawl through our pages to find which are the most popular quotes.

A couple of weeks ago we launched a new feature on this site, we not only displayed quotes but we let you be a part of that by submitting your favourite quotes to our site. We have now taken that interaction one step further and opened up the ability to rate quotes, you'll now be able to browse the quote section and give your rating out of 5 stars to each & every quote. Once we have collected enough data, we'll also showcase the most popular quotes from The Big Bang Theory!
If your favourite quotes aren't on show yet then please help us by submitting them via this simple form and don't forget to add your votes in the Quote Corner! A big thank you to those who took the time to submit quotes, we're extremely grateful for your contribution.

No this isn't a piece urging you to vote in the American election, we're actually asking for you to spend a few moments and vote in our less important polls. Even if you've already voted in our polls before, perhaps as much as a year ago, we're asking you to forget McCain/Obama and focus on Sheldon/Leonard. We've recently updated our poll system to collect the country from which a vote originates, this way we'll be able to tell you which answers are more popular in different countries. So please, even if you've voted before, please check out our polls - your vote may influence what people think of your country!
We've only been collecting the data for a few weeks, so the data isn't ready to be shown publicly, but we can reveal that while Sheldon is the favorite character of the Americans, Britons say their favourite is Leonard!
Our new site for Two and a Half Men Posted 11th September 2008
Today we have launched a new site, for Chuck Lorre's (Big Bang Theory co-creator) hit show "Two and a Half Men". The site features an extensive episode guide, cast bios, downloads, photo galleries and forums for fans to discuss the show.

We'd like to thank everybody who has taken the time to submit their favourite Big Bang Theory Quotes to our Quote Centre. We've been overwhelmed by the huge response to our request for your favourite Quotes, and we've been working hard to make sure we can moderate & approve them all as soon as possible.
We're not finished with the Quote Centre yet, we plan on adding a rating system soon so you can rate quotes. We'll then launch a section showing the most popular quotes.
We hope to have this ready in the next week, so stay tuned and please keep the quotes coming in.

We have launched a new section on the website today, "Quote Corner" is a place to find all "The Big Bang Theory" quotes you could possibly want.
Even better is that you, the visitor, can choose which quotes we show. We want fans to submit their favourite quotes to the site so we can have the most comprehensive list of quotes available on the Internet.
Soon we'll even open up voting and let people vote for which quote they think is the best.
If you want to make sure your favourite "Big Bang Theory" quote is on our site then just head over to the Quote Corner here. You can browse the quotes we have already added and submit your own through this form. It's very easy to submit your favourite quotes, you don't even need to remember the specific episode it came from (we'll handle that for you!). So, what are you waiting for?

Episode Screen-capper
- We need somebody to take "screencaps" of The Big Bang Theory episodes when the show returns in September.
Episode Reviewer
- We need some people to write 250-350 words every week giving their opinion on the episode. that week. You don't need to be able to review every episode.

We are also going to launch a "Fan Fiction" section, so if you are interested in writing your own fan fiction for The Big Bang Theory then you can have it showcased on our site. If you're interested in submitting some fan fiction to this site then please e-mail your piece and we'll add it to the section when it launches.

The Big Bang Theory is broadcast all around the world and with that comes many international non-English speaking visitors to this site. We want all visitors to this site to have the best possible experience, and we want to provide Big Bang Theory news to as many people as possible - no matter which language they speak. So today we launch a new feature, our RSS news feed provided in many languages.

Site Updates Posted 26th June 2008
As you may have noticed, we have made some changes to the site over the last couple of the days.
We have introduced tags for the news stories, similar to blogs, and so you can now follow specific subjects easily through the tags.
We have also redesigned certain pages, with changes to the news system & episode guide.
We have further changes to come, so keep a look out. We're using the summer hiatus to add new features to the site and fix things, so we're ready for the second season which will start in September.
We should also point out that our Privacy Policy has been updated, it is worth reading. View privacy policy here.
