'Big Bang' receives two Golden Globe nominations

The Big Bang Theory is nominated for two Golden Globe Awards. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the 70th Golden Globe nominations today at Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The Big Bang Theory was nominated for the Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical award for the second time, having first been nominated in 2010. The show faces competition from Episodes (Showtime), Girls (HBO), Smash (NBC), and Modern Family (ABC) - the current holder of the award.

Jim Parsons was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical category for the second time, having won the award back at the 68th Golden Globe Awards. The other contenders for the award are Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Don Cheadle (House of Lies), Louis C.K. (Louie), and Matt LeBlanc (Episodes) - who won the award last year.

The award ceremony will air live on NBC on Sunday, January 13 and will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Congratulations! When is Johnny Galecki going to - finally - be recognized? He deserves an Emmy, maybe even ex-aequo with Kaley Cuoco for the good work. Simon Helberg certainly is "Emmynable" for his "I ate a butterfly" scene.

It's time that Raj got a girlfriend and got his parents off his back. Who better to "act" as a girlfriend than Penny (who is an actress) and can be trained and made-up as Indian to satisfy his parents who only see him on Skype.

I finally figured out who Will Wheaton is I still have no idea who Stan Lee is I guess i need to be more into star trek the next generation and comics
