Katey Sagal is an American actress perhaps best known for her role as Peggy Bundy on the long-running sitcom Married... with Children, which ran from 1987 to 1997, starring opposite Ed O'Neill (Modern Family).

More recently, Katey Sagal starred as Gemma Teller Morrow on the FX drama Sons of Anarchy and provided the voice of Leela on the animated sitcom Futurama from 1999 to 2013.

From 2002-2005, Katey Sagal starred in the ABC sitcom 8 Simple Rules along side Kaley Cuoco. The show starred John Ritter (Three's Company) until his death in 2003.

Katey Sagal's guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory is therefore the second time she will be playing Kaley Cuoco's on-screen mother after 8 Simple Rules.
