Regina King is a three time Emmy award-winning American actress perhaps best known for her roles on the NBC sitcom 227 and the drama Southland.
King's other television credits include recurring roles on Leap of Faith, 24, The Strain and Shameless. King has recently had starring roles in the shows American Crime and The Leftovers. King lent her voice to the characters Huey and Riley Freeman in the Adult Swim sitcom The Boondocks.
For her work on American Crime, King twice won the Emmy award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or a Movie. She won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie award in 2018 for her work on the Netflix series Seven Seconds.
On the big screen, Regina King has appeared in movies including Jerry Maguire, Poetic Justice, Legally Blonde 2, Daddy Day Care, Miss Congeniality 2, and This Christmas.
