William Shatner is a Canadian actor, producer, director, singer and author best known for his iconic role as James Tiberius Kirk, captain of USS Enterprise, in the Star Trek franchise.

Shatner's other memorable TV roles include as the eponymous police sergeant T.J. Hooker and as Denny Crane on ABC's Boston Legal. He also hosted the long-running docudrama series Rescue 911.
