CBS announces Gilbert joining show Posted 12th August 2008

We reported a few days ago that Sara Gilbert ("Roseanne"), who guest starred in a few episodes of the first season as Leslie Winkle, will be joining the show. Well CBS has officially announced this, you can read their press release below:

"Sara Gilbert has joined the cast of THE BIG BANG THEORY as a series regular, reprising her role as 'Leslie Winkle', Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) colleague and on-again-off-again love interest. The second season of THE BIG BANG THEORY premieres Monday, Sept. 22 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Gilbert is well known to television audiences for her Emmy-nominated role on 'Rosanne', in which Galecki played her love interest. She recently made guest appearances on "ER" and 'Private Practice'. ".

Sara Gilbert ("Roseanne"), who played Leonard's colleague & on-and-off girlfriend 'Leslie' in a 3 episode stint on The Big Bang Theory, has joined the show as a regular.

Sara Gilbert had a leading role on the hit ABC sitcom "Roseanne" where Johnny Galecki (Leonard) played her on-and-off boyfriend. Gilbert earned two Emmy nominations for that role.

CBS has announced the details of the third episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sara Gilbert (Roseanne) will guest star in this episode.

"The Fuzzy Boots Corollary" - Leonard is bummed to learn that his crush, Penny, is seeing someone, so encouraged by his friends and fellow scientists, Leonard actually summons the nerve to ask a woman out on a date, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Oct. 8 (8:30-9:00 ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Gilbert & Galecki to reunite Posted 4th September 2007

Sara Gilbert (Darlene - "Roseanne") will reunite with former  "Roseanne" co-star Johnny Galecki (David - "Roseanne") on upcoming episodes of "The Big Bang Theory".

Galecki, whose character was married to Gilbert's character on "Roseanne", plays Leonard a geek who is uncomfortable with the opposite sex on CBS' "The Big Bang Theory".

Gilbert will play a potential love interest for Galecki's character, Leonard, in an untold number of episodes.
