2011 Emmy Nominations

Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and The Big Bang Theory were nominated for the 2011 Emmy Awards today.

Parsons and Galecki are both nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for their work on The Big Bang Theory. Jim Parsons was nominated in this category last year and won the award. This is Galecki's first nomination in the category. They will both be facing competition from Matt LeBlanc (Episodes), Steve Carell (The Office), Louis C.K. (Louie) and Alec Baldwin (30 Rock).

The Big Bang Theory was nominated in the Outstanding Comedy Series for the first time. The show goes up against Glee, Parks And Recreation, The Office, Modern Family and 30 Rock. Modern Family is the lead contender with a whopping seventeen Emmy nominations.

I am happy for the 5 nominations, they all deserve it. I was glad that Johnny was nominated, but I honestly hope Jim will win (although, people are speculating that Steve Carell will win as it was his last season at "The Office"). They are both very hard working and talented actors, but Jim has something more. I suppose some people are born lucky :)
