The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis beat The Maternal Capacitance with a convincing 70% share of the vote. The Barbarian Sublimation only just beat The Work Song Nanocluster, garnering 53% of the vote.

CBS has announced the details of November 16th's episode, The Adhesive Duck Deficiency, the eighth episode of the season.

"The Adhesive Duck Deficiency" - With Leonard, Howard and Raj away camping in the desert, an injured Penny has only Sheldon to rely on, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Nov. 16 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

-Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff is to appear on the November 23rd episode of The Big Bang Theory, playing herself. TV Squad reports there may even be some nudity!

-Nominations are being taken for the 2010 People's Choice Awards. The show is listed in the Favorite TV Comedy category. Jim Parsons is listed in the Favorite TV Comedy Actor category, while Kaley Cuoco is listed in the Favorite TV Comedy Actress category. The Maternal Capacitance beat The Lizard-Spock Expansion with almost 65% of the vote. The Work Song Nanocluster beat The Cooper-Nowitzki Theorem in a  tight race, getting just over 52% of the vote. The Barbarian Sublimation beat The Vegas Normalization with almost 60% share. The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis beat The Panty Pinata Polarization with a resounding 72% of the vote.

Revised ratings for Monday's episode reveal it did better than previously thought. The Big Bang Theory beat or matched all of its previous bests.

THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in adults 25-54 (6.3/14), adults 18-49 (5.3/13), adults 18-34 (4.0/11), second in both households (8.1/12) and viewers (13.47m). THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +5% in adults 25-54, +10% in adults 18-49 and +25% in adults 18-34. THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +1% in households (from 8.0/12), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/13), +6% in adults 18-49 (from 5.0/12), +18% in adults 18-34 (from 3.4/09) and added +400,000 viewers (from 13.07m, +3%) compared to last week.

This is BIG BANG THEORY's best viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34 performances to date, matches best adults 18-49 delivery ever.

Episode 3.05 Ratings

The ratings for last night's episode are out. The ratings were up from last week and the show continued to improve on Two and a Half Men in the 18-49 demographic.

The Big Bang Theory came second in total viewers with 13.12m people watching, this gave it an 8.0/12 rating in households. In the 18-49 demographic, it came first with a 5.1/12 rating, up from Two and a Half Men's 4.7/12.

CBS Announces Episode 3.07

CBS has announced the details of November 9th's episode, The Guitarist Amplification, the seventh episode of the season.

"The Guitarist Amplification" - An argument between Leonard and Penny proves "inconvenient" to Sheldon, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Nov. 9 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Season 2 DVD released in the UK October 19, 2009

Season 2 DVD released in the UK

Season 2 of The Big Bang Theory was today released on Region 2 DVD in the United Kingdom. The 4 disc set includes all 23 episodes from the 2008-09 season, including new bonus features. The DVD was released in the U.S. and Canada last month.

The bonus features are a gag reel, "Physicist to the Stars" featurette and "Testing the Infinite Hilarity Hypothesis" featurette.
