Leonard Nimoy set for 'Big Bang Theory' cameo February 29, 2012
Legendary Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy is set for a cameo role in the March 29 episode of The Big Bang Theory, according to TVLine.com.
TVLine's exclusive report suggests the Spock actor, who has largely retired from on-screen acting, will speak to Sheldon in a dream sequence but will not be seen.
The Big Bang Theory producers have previously stated their desire to have Nimoy guest star on the show, calling him their 'dream' guest star. Many mentions of Nimoy and his famed character Spock have been made in the show, including a memorable scene where Sheldon receives a napkin signed and used by Mr. Spock himself.
CBS Announces Episode 5.19 February 28, 2012
CBS has announced the next episode of The Big Bang Theory, 5.19 The Weekend Vortex, which will air March 8th. Kevin Sussman reprises his role as Stuart in the episode.
The Weekend Vortex – Sheldon chooses to play video games with the guys rather than go with Amy to her aunt’s birthday party, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, March 8 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

There's no new episode this week, instead a rebroadcast of episode 5.04 The Wiggly Finger Catalyst airs Thursday, March 1st. The Big Bang Theory will be off air the weeks of March 15th and March 22nd because of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
Episode 5.18 Ratings: 'Bang' beats Idol outright February 24, 2012
Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory topped its time slot, beat American Idol outright for the first time and ranked as the night's most-watched and highest-rated program.
"The Werewolf Transformation" was watched by 16.11 million people, up by 460,000 viewers from last week, and scored a 9.7/16 rating in households. The Big Bang Theory scored a 5.2/15 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic, a 6.6/7 rating among adults 25-54 and a 3.9/13 among adults 18-34. The show was up by 2% in the adults 18-49 demo from last week. The Big Bang Theory finished first in its time slot and for the night as a whole in total viewers, households, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
Although The Big Bang Theory has topped American Idol in the ratings for the past five weeks, this was only when compared to American Idol's performance in the same half-hour period as The Big Bang Theory. Yesterday's episode of The Big Bang Theory rated higher than Idol's entire hour-long broadcast. The Big Bang Theory also beat American Idol in the shared half-hour by the largest margins yet.

Episode 5.17 Ratings February 17, 2012
Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory beat American Idol in key ratings for the fifth consecutive week and was the night's highest-rated and most-watched scripted program.
"The Rothman Disintegration" was watched by 15.65 million people, down by almost 560,000 viewers from last week's episode. In the adults 18-49 demographic, the demo networks and advertisers focus on, the show scored a 5.1/15 rating, down from last week's season high of 5.6/16.
When compared to American Idol in the common half-hour (8:00-8:30), The Big Bang Theory finished first in total viewers, households, adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34. The Big Bang Theory tied with American Idol as the night's top rated program with adults 18-49.
New Big Bang Theory Party Game to be released February 14, 2012
Warner Bros. and Cryptozoic Entertainment today announced a partnership to release The Big Bang Theory: The Party Game. The game is designed for three to six players, aged fifteen and up, and contains almost 300 game cards.
Players of The Big Bang Theory: The Party Game will compete to pair category cards with phrases and references from the show. In each round, one player serves as the referee and awards points to the other players by judging and ranking their card combinations. There are also special Bazinga! cards that add a bit of chaos and surprise to the game. Every card offers a different Big Bang Theory moment, complete with photographs from the show.
The game is launching nationwide in April 2012 and will be available from well-known retailers, including Amazon, ThinkGeek.com and Barnes and Noble.

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory beat American Idol in key demographics and finished a strong second overall in its time slot. The Big Bang Theory matched its Thursday highs in the adults 18-49 and 18-34 demographics.
"The Vacation Solution" was watched by 16.06 million people, down from last week's the record audience of 16.54m, and scored a 9.7/16 rating in households. The Big Bang Theory finished second behind American Idol in total viewers and households. The Big Bang Theory was the night's most-watched and highest-rated scripted program.
In the important adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a 5.5/16 rating, unchanged from last week. The show also scored a dominant 7.0/18 rating among adults 25-54 and a 4.1/14 in the 18-34 demo. The Big Bang Theory finished first in all key demographics for the common half-hour.
