Johnny Galecki receives Golden Globe nomination December 15, 2011
Johnny Galecki was today nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his work on The Big Bang Theory. He was nominated in the Best Actor in a TV Series - Comedy category, alongside 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin, Californication's David Duchovny, Hung's Thomas Jane and Episodes' Matt LeBlanc.
This is Galecki's first nomination at the Golden Globe Awards. Last year, Galecki's Big Bang co-star Jim Parsons was nominated for the same award and went on to win it. The Big Bang Theory was also nominated for Best Musical or Comedy Series award last year, though that award went to Glee.
The 69th Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast Sunday, January 15th on NBC and will be hosted by Ricky Gervais.
'Big Bang' cast receive SAG Award nomination December 14, 2011
The cast of The Big Bang Theory was today nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award. The show's cast was nominated for the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series award. This was the show's first nomination at the SAG Awards.
The other contenders for the award are the casts of 30 Rock, Glee, Modern Family and The Office. Modern Family won the award last year.
The 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be broadcast live January 29th on TNT and TBS.

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory finished first in its time slot and was the most-watched and highest-rated show of the night.
"The Speckerman Recurrence", the last original episode of 2011, scored an 8.8/14 rating in households and was watched by 14.42 million people, down by 630,000 viewers from the last new episode. In the important adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a 4.7/14 rating, down from 5.3/15 on November 17. The show finished first in its slot by all key ratings metrics.
'Big Bang' Autographs in TV Guide Guestbook December 9, 2011
TV Guide Magazine has just released their Celebrity Guestbook with over 170 celebrity signatures, including those of the cast of The Big Bang Theory. The guestbook is now being actioned off to raise money for City of Hope.
The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar and Mayim Bialik all signed the guest book. The autographed book also includes signatures from the casts of shows including Chuck, Community, Dexter and Dr Who. The guestbook was signed by over 170 stars aboard the TV Guide Magazine Yacht at Comic-Con 2011.

CBS has announced the December 8th episode of The Big Bang Theory.
"The Speckerman Recurrence" - Leonard must face his fears after being contacted by his high school tormentor, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Dec. 8 (8:00 - 8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

"The Flaming Spittoon Acquisition" scored an 8.9/14 rating in households and was watched by 14.83 million people, down by around 0.83m viewers from last week. The Big Bang Theory scored a 5.2/15 in the key adults 18-49 demographic, a 6.4/16 in the adults 25-54 demo and a 3.9/13 in the adults 18-34 demo. The show was the most-watched and highest-rated program of the night.

"The Ornithophobia Diffusion" was watched by 15.66 million people, down slightly from last week's record-setting audience of 15.98m, and scored a 9.3/15 rating in households. The Big Bang Theory recorded a 5.2/15 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic, down from last week's 5.4/16.
The Big Bang Theory finished first in its slot and was the highest rated show of the night in households, total viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. This is the eighth week running that the show has been the top rated show on Thursdays.
