Season 8 Episode Tournament: Round 1 May 22, 2015
We are running an episode tournament to find people's favorite episode from the latest season of The Big Bang Theory. The nominations round has now closed and the eight most popular episodes have progressed through to the first knock-out round.
The eight episodes now go head-to-head in the following four pairs: The Prom Equivalency vs. The Focus Attenuation, The Maternal Combustion vs. The Clean Room Infiltration, The Commitment Determination vs. The Misinterpretation Agitation, and The Intimacy Acceleration vs. The Comic Book Store Regeneration. Each match lasts for two days and the first match is open for voting now. Remember to check back every other day to vote in the next match.

The Big Bang Theory: Season 8 DVD May 22, 2015
Now that The Big Bang Theory's eighth season has wrapped, Amazon is taking pre-orders for the upcoming Season 8 DVD and Blu-ray boxsets. There is limited information about the DVDs right now, but Amazon is listing the release date in the U.S. and Canada as Tuesday, September 15.

CBS announces fall line-up May 13, 2015
CBS announced its fall schedule today at its Upfront presentation in New York City. The Big Bang Theory will again start its season on Monday nights before moving back to Thursdays when CBS's run of Thursday Night Football matches is complete.
CBS will be airing NFL Thursday Night Football on Thursday nights from September 17 until November, when CBS's Thursday night comedy block will return.
The Big Bang Theory will air Monday nights at 8/7c from its ninth season premiere through to November. The show will be followed at 8:30/7:30c by new sitcom Life In Pieces. Both of those shows then move to the same time periods on Thursday in November. The comedy line-up on Thursday continues with Chuck Lorre's Mom at 9/8c and new sitcom Angel From Hell at 9:30/8:30c.

The Big Bang Theory receives three Critics' Choice nominations May 7, 2015
The Big Bang Theory's cast and guest star Laurie Metcalf received three nominations at the Critics' Choice Television Awards yesterday.
Johnny Galecki was nominated for the "Actor in a Comedy" award. The other nominess in that category are Anthony Anderson (blackish), Chris Messina (The Mindy Project), Jeffrey Tambor (Transparent), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) and Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth).
Mayim Bialik was nominated in the "Supporting Actress in a Comedy" category. The other contenders for that award are Allison Janney (Mom), Carrie Brownstein (Portlandia), Eden Sher (The Middle), Judith Light (Transparent) and Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness).
Laurie Metcalf was nominated for the "Guest Performer in a Comedy" award for her role as Mary Cooper, Sheldon's mother. The other nominees in the category are Becky Ann Baker (Girls), Bradley Whitford (Transparent), Josh Charles (Inside Amy Schumer), Peter Gallagher (Togetherness) and Susie Essman (Broad City).
CBS Announces Eighth Season Finale May 4, 2015
CBS has put out the press release for the eighth season finale of The Big Bang Theory, "The Commitment Determination", which airs this Thursday, May 7.
“The Commitment Determination” – Sheldon pushes Leonard and Penny to choose a date for their wedding and deals with dramatic changes in his own relationship with Amy, on the eighth season finale of THE BIG BANG THEORY,Thursday, May 7 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
The Big Bang Theory is renewed for a ninth and tenth season as part of a three-season renewal last year.
