Season 5 Episode Tournament now open June 19, 2012
We are running a Big Bang Theory: Season 5 Episode Tournament to find the fans' favorite episode from the latest season of The Big Bang Theory. The nominations round is now open and allows you to nominate up to 8 episodes to go through to the knock-out rounds.
The tournament will consist of a nominations round, now open, and three knock-out rounds. The eight most popular episodes from the nominations round will go head-to-head in the first round, after which four episodes will be eliminated. The second round sees two pairs of episodes go head-to-head, before the third and final round sees the two most popular episodes compete to become the winner.

Big Bang Theory Guest Star Tournament: Result June 17, 2012
The final round of our Big Bang Theory: Guest Star Tournament has now closed and we are able to announce the winner. Exactly 8,400 votes were cast and we want to thank everybody who voted.
Laurie Metcalf (Mary Cooper) beat Carol Ann Susi (Mrs. Wolowitz) to win the tournament with 57.48% of the final vote. The Roseanne and Toy Story actress has so far appeared in four episodes of The Big Bang Theory as Sheldon's religious Texan mother, Mary Cooper.
Laurie Metcalf received 1,190 votes throughout the tournament. The characters' mothers were popular choices right from the start. Christine Baranski, who plays Leonard's mother, advanced to the second round and Carol Ann Susi, who plays Mrs. Wolowitz, reached the final round.

Bonus features revealed for Season 5 DVD & Blu-ray June 16, 2012
Warner Home Video has issued the press release for the September 11 release of The Big Bang Theory: Season 5 DVD and Blu-ray in the United States. The box-sets will include all twenty-four episodes of the 2011/12 season along with three behind-the-scenes featurettes and a gag reel.
The special features included are: The Big Bang Theory @100 featurette: The cast and producers celebrate the 100th episode, The Big Bang Theory's Laws of Reflection featurette: The cast reflects on their favorite memories from Season 5, Professors of Production featurette: A behind-the-scenes look at the various departments that bring the show together each week, and a gag reel.
The five-disc Blu-ray includes the episodes on two high-definition Blu-ray discs, three standard-definition DVDs and also on UltraViolet downloads (USA only, other limitations apply). The episodes are presented on the Blu-ray discs in 1080p Full HD with DTS-HD Master Audio for English 5.1.
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, The Big Bang Theory: Season Five DVD and Blu-ray will be released on Monday, September 24. This is the first Blu-ray release of the show in those countries. Both the DVD and the Blu-ray will include digital copies of the episodes, although the downloads can only be redeemed by residents of the United Kingdom. Season Five DVD and Blu-ray sets are expected to be released in Australia and New Zealand later this year, but release dates have not yet been announced.
Big Bang Theory: Season 5 DVD/Blu-ray announced June 11, 2012
Warner Home Video has announced the release of The Big Bang Theory: Season Five DVD and Blu-ray this Fall in the United States and Canada. The box-sets will be released in North America on Tuesday, September 11.
The three-disc DVD and five-disc Blu-ray will include all twenty-four episodes of the past season. The cover art and full extras list has not yet been revealed. The Blu-ray set includes the episodes on both high-definition Blu-ray, standard-definition DVD and UltraViolet downloads. The downloads are only available in the USA and must be redeemed within two years of the release date.

Big Bang Theory Party Game now available May 28, 2012
Cryptozoic Entertainment have recently released The Big Bang Theory: The Party Game. The game features almost 300 cards, 60 points game tiles and is suitable for 3-6 players. Each game lasts for about 30 minutes and is appropriate for players aged 15+.
In the game players compete to pair category cards with show insider phrases and references. In each round of the game, one player serves as the Referee, while other players submit card combinations which they feel best describe the category. The game also features special Bazinga! cards to add an element of surprise to gameplay.
Also available from Cryptozoic is The Big Bang Theory Trivia Game, which features over 400 trivia questions about the show. Cryptozoic also released The Big Bang Theory Trading Cards, which are currently sold out.

Following a season that featured guest appearances from Leonard Nimoy to Stephen Hawking, we are interested to see which guest appearances people have enjoyed the most from the show's run so far.
