CBS Announces Episode 5.06 October 13, 2011
CBS has announced next Thursday's episode of The Big Bang Theory. Laurie Metcalf reprises her role as Sheldon's mother in the episode.
The Rhinitis Revelation – Sheldon competes with the gang for his mother’s attention when she comes to visit, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Oct. 20 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Laurie Metcalf reprises her role as Sheldon’s mom.

The Big Bang Theory. Dexter star Courtney Ford guest stars in the episode with recurring guest stars Aarti Mann (Priya) and Kevin Sussman (Stuart).

Episode 5.04 Ratings: #1 Show of the Night October 7, 2011
The Big Bang Theory was the highest rated show on Thursday for the third week running. The show dominated its timeslot and was crowned the highest rated show of the night in households, total viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
"The Wiggly Finger Catalyst" was watched by 13.63 million people and scored an 8.2/14 rating in households. The show was down on last week by around 900,000 viewers. In the key adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a 4.4/13 rating.

Episode 5.03 Ratings September 30, 2011
Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory finished first in its timeslot and was the highest rated show of the night in viewers and key demographics.
"The Pulled Groin Extrapolation" scored an 8.7/15 rating in households was watched by 14.55 million people, up by a quarter of a million from last week's premiere. In the key adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a 4.8/15 rating and retained 98% of its premiere audience. The show finished first by all key ratings metrics and was the highest rated show of the night.

In the October issue of CBS Watch! Magazine, which hits newsstands next week, they catch up with the newest members of The Big Bang Theory cast, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch.
Discussing the latest additions to the gang, Jim Parsons tells CBS Watch! that "It was wonderful adding Melissa and Mayim. They’re strong actors who fit perfectly into the tone of the show. Their characters have opened up new roads for full stories to be formed around them."

Big Bang Theory: Season 4 DVD out in the UK September 26, 2011
The Big Bang Theory: Season 4 DVD was released today in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The three-disc Region 2 boxset includes all twenty-four episodes from the show's 2010/11 season along with exclusive bonus features. Episodes are presented in widescreen with 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound (English track only). Additional language tracks are French and Castilian Spanish. Subtitles included are English, Castilian Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Norwegian and Swedish.
Order the DVD now from Amazon.co.uk. If you don't yet own any of the DVDs, you might be interested in the Seasons 1-4 boxset which costs £32.99. A Blu-ray edition was not released in the UK and high definition releases of the show do not appear to be planned.

Fifth Season Premiere Ratings September 23, 2011
Last night's double showing of The Big Bang Theory finished first in its time slot by all key ratings indicators.
The fifth season premiere, "The Skank Reflex Analysis", was watched by 14.06 million people and scored a 4.8/15 rating in the important adults 18-49 demographic. This was broadly the same as last year's season premiere.
The second episode of the night, "The Infestation Hypothesis", was watched by 14.65 million people and scored a 5.0/14 in the 18-49 demo. Both episodes of The Big Bang Theory finished first in their time slots, ahead of Fox's new reality show The X Factor.
