Jerry O'Connell cast as Sheldon's brother Posted March 22, 2018

The Big Bang Theory is set to introduce Sheldon's older brother, Georgie Cooper, in the upcoming season finale, the producers revealed yesterday at PaleyFest.

Jerry O'Connell (Standy by Me, Sliders, Crossing Jordan) has been cast as Sheldon's "dumb as soup" brother, who is played by Montana Jordan on Young Sheldon. Unlike Sheldon's twin sister Missy, who we met in the first season of The Big Bang Theory, we have only heard references to Sheldon's brother so far.

The eleventh season finale, which will air Thursday, May 10, will cover Sheldon and Amy's wedding. Laurie Metcalf will be returning as Sheldon's mother, Mary, in the episode.

There was no word whether Sheldon's twin sister, Missy, who was played by Courtney Henggeler in "The Pork Chop Indeterminacy", or his Meemaw, played by June Squibb in "The Meemaw Materalization", will be returning for Sheldon and Amy's big day.
