806 'The Expedition Approximation' Pictures October 9, 2014

Pictures from the October 20 episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The Expedition Approximation", have been added to our gallery. In the episode, Sheldon and Raj test whether they could survive a demanding expedition - and each other's company - by simulating the conditions in a steam tunnel. Meanwhile Leonard and Penny seek relationship advice from Howard and Bernadette after a fight over money.

This will be the last episode of The Big Bang Theory to air in its temporary Monday night time period. The show returns to its regular Thursday night at 8/7c slot starting October 30.

UK premiere date set for TBBT Season 8 October 8, 2014

The eighth season of The Big Bang Theory will begin airing in the United Kingdom later this month. E4 will be airing new episodes starting Thursday, October 23 at 20:30. 

In the eighth season premiere, "The Locomotion Interruption", Sheldon's cross-country train journey comes to an abrupt end in Arizona, where Leonard and Amy must go pick him up. Meanwhile, Bernadette helps Penny get a job interview with her pharma company, and Howard worries about how close Stuart and his mother now are.

804 'The Hook-Up Reverberation' Ratings October 7, 2014

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory dominated the ratings for its time period to finish as the night's most-watched and highest-rated broadcast by a considerable margin.

"The Hook-Up Reverberation" was watched by 15.75 million people, down from 16.38m the week before. The Big Bang Theory had a three million viewer lead on its nearest competitor. In the key adults 18-49 demographic, the show had a 4.5/14 rating, down from the previous episode's 4.8/15. The Big Bang Theory was first in viewers and all key demos for its time period and the night overall.

A special rerun of The Big Bang Theory at 8:30 finished third in viewers and second in the 18-49 demographic.

806 'The Expedition Approximation' Press Release October 6, 2014

CBS has released the synopsis for the October 20 episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The Expedition Approximation". This is the last of the episodes to air on Monday night as the show returns to its Thursday home on October 30.

The Expedition Approximation – Sheldon and Raj test whether they could survive a dark-matter research expedition in a salt mine by simulating the conditions in a steam tunnel. Meanwhile, Leonard and Penny seek advice from Wolowitz and Bernadette after they fight about money, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Oct. 20 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

A new episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The Hook-Up Reverberation", airs tonight, October 6, at 8/7c on CBS, followed by a rerun of "The Table Polarization" at 8:30/7:30c.

Meanwhile, the guys try to invent something cool, but only come up with new ways to procrastinate, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Oct. 13 (8:00-8:31, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

803 'The First Pitch Insufficiency' Ratings September 30, 2014

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory dominated the ratings for its time slot and the night as a whole, finishing as the night's most-watched broadcast.

"The First Pitch Insufficiency" was watched by 16.38 million people, down from last week's 18.03m audience. The Big Bang Theory had a 4.8/15 rating in the 18-49 demographic, down from the previous episode's 5.4/17. The Big Bang Theory finished first in viewers and all key demos.

A rerun of The Big Bang Theory at 8:30 finished second in viewers and the 18-49 demo, ranking as the night's third most-watched show.
