CBS doubles up on The Big Bang Theory September 25, 2014

CBS will double up on The Big Bang Theory during the show's limited run on Monday nights. Following original episodes at 8/7c, a rerun of a different The Big Bang Theory episode will be airing at 8:30/7:30c on September 29, October 6 and October 13. The show returns to its Thursday night home on October 30.

The change to the schedule means Mom, the Anna Faris and Allison Janney sitcom from Chuck Lorre, will now begin its second season on Thursday, October 30 at 8:30/7:30c, immediately following The Big Bang Theory. The show had been set to start its sophomore season next Monday. The Thursday night line-up when it returns on October 30 will also have Two and a Half Men at 9/8c and new sitcom The McCarthys (starring Laurie Metcalf) at 9:30/8:30c, with the drama Elementary at 10/9c.

The second season of The Millers will now be taking the Monday 8:30/7:30c slot from October 20. After The Big Bang Theory returns to Thursday nights, 2 Broke Girls will have the 8/7c slot starting October 27. In January, Mom returns to Mondays at 8:30/7:30c and The Millers heads back to Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c.

Eighth season premiere ratings September 23, 2014

Last night's hour-long premiere of The Big Bang Theory dominated the ratings for its time slot and the night to rank as Monday's most-watched and highest-rated program. The Big Bang Theory had over five million more viewers than the closest competing program.

At 8:00, "The Locomotive Interruption" was watched by 18.03 million people and recorded a 5.4/17 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic. The show's season premiere last year, which aired Thursday, September 26, had 18.99m viewers and a 5.5/17 rating in the demo.

At 8:30, "The Junior Professor Solution" had 18.23 million viewers and a 5.4/16 rating in the demo. The second episode of last year's hour-long premiere, "The Deception Verification", had 20.44m viewers and a 6.1/18 rating and remains the show's most-watched episode to date.

The Big Bang Theory finished first in viewers and all key demographics in both of its showings and the night overall.

804 'The Hook-Up Reverberation' Press Release September 22, 2014

CBS has put out the press release for the October 6 episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The Hook-Up Reverberation". Laura Spencer returns as Emily, Raj's girlfriend, in the episode.

The Hook-Up Reverberation – Raj’s honesty about his past comes back to haunt him after his girlfriend, Emily, is cold to Penny. Also, the guys consider becoming part-owners in Stuart’s comic book store, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Oct. 6 (8:00-8:31, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

The Big Bang Theory returns with an hour-long season premiere tonight at 8/7c on CBS. The show has temporarily moved to Monday nights, but will return to Thursdays from October 30.

CBS has put out the press release for the September 29 episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The First Pitch Insufficiency".

The First Pitch Insufficiency – Wolowitz is nervous after NASA asks him to throw out the first pitch at a Los Angeles Angels game. Meanwhile, Leonard and Penny try to prove Sheldon wrong after he says that he and Amy are a “superior couple,” on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Sept. 29 (8:00-8:30, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

The Big Bang Theory will be airing on Monday nights at 8/7c until the end of October to make way for Thursday Night Football. The show returns for its eighth season premiere with two back-to-back episodes next Monday, September 22.

The Big Bang Theory: Season 7 released on DVD & Blu-ray September 16, 2014

The seventh season of The Big Bang Theory was released on DVD and Blu-ray in the United States and Canada today.

The episodes are presented in widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. The bonus features are a Gag Reel, String Theory Serenade featurette, James Earl Jones: The Un-Conventional Guest Star featurette, BBTea Time featurette, The Big Bang Theory's May the 4th featurette, The Big Cendrowski featurette, the 2013 Comic Con Panel and Johnny Galecki Crashes the BBT Writers Panel. The DVD includes an English 5.1 sound track along with English, French and Spanish subtitles. 

The Big Bang Theory: Season 7 Blu-ray The five-disc Blu-ray box-set includes all twenty-four episodes of The Big Bang Theory's seventh season on high-definition Blu-ray and standard-definition DVD. The episodes are presented in 1080p widescreen with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. The box-set has the same special features as the DVD and also includes Ultra-Violet digital downloads of the episodes. The Blu-ray includes English, Portuguese and Spanish audio tracks, along with English, French, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles.

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, The Big Bang Theory: Season 7  DVD and Blu-ray box-sets were released last Monday. TBBT Seasons 1-7 box-sets were also on released on DVD and Blu-ray. For fans in Australia and New Zealand, the Season 7  DVD and Blu-ray are released tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17.
