Episode 2.19 Ratings March 31, 2009
Last night's episode came third with 9.76 million viewers and a 5.8/9 rating, finishing behind ABC's Dancing with the Stars and Fox's House. The show tied for second in the adults 18-49 demographic with House, setting a 2.8/11 rating.
How I Met Your Mother continued the night with similar ratings, although it lost around 500,000 viewers from Big Bang.
Two and a Half Men had 14.44 million viewers, placing second with an 8.6/13 rating. Men also finished second in adults 18-49 with a 5.1/12 rating. Rules of Engagement finished the comedy block with 10.99 million viewers, placing third with a 6.9/10 rating. Rules managed to score a 4.1/10 rating in the adults 18-49 demo, finishing second.

Next week (April 6th) there is a rerun of "The Vartabedian Conundrum" and on April 13th the new episode "The Hofstadter Isotope" will air. A rerun will air April 20th but an original episode will air April 27th, that will probably be the last rerun in the current season. No details have yet been released for that episode.

CBS has announced the details of episode 2.20, which will air April 13th and guest star Ugly Betty's Kevin Sussman as Penny's geeky love-interest.
"The Hofstadter Isotope" - While a fellow comic book-loving pal of the guys romances Penny, Leonard and Wolowitz venture out into the world of "Ladies' Night" at a local bar, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, April 13 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
There isn't an episode of The Big Bang Theory tonight as CBS is airing a How I Met Your Mother double-bill instead. A new episode will air next week (March 30th), entitled "The Dead Hooker Juxtaposition", but there will be a rerun the week after (April 6th) of "The Vartabedian Conundrum".
Big Bang renewed for 2 seasons March 18, 2009
The Big Bang Theory has today officially been renewed for 2 additional seasons, taking it through to its 4th season in 2010/11. Two and a Half Men was renewed for an additional 3 years, taking it through to its 9th season in 2011/12. Men is currently the number 1 comedy on TV.

Bang rerun preempted for Mother March 18, 2009
CBS has preempted a scheduled rerun of The Big Bang Theory for an original episode of How I Met Your Mother. Mother will take Bang's 8/7c slot next week for a new original episode while a rerun of Mother will air at its usual time.
CBS will no doubt be looking to see how Mother performs in the 8/7c slot, a slot it once held, up against ABC's Dancing with the Stars. Both Bang & Mother have suffered in the ratings against ABC's popular reality show.
The Big Bang Theory will return March 30th, at its usual time, with a new episode entitled "The Dead Hooker Juxtaposition".
Season 1 DVD goes down under March 17, 2009
Season 1 of The Big Bang Theory will go down under on June 3rd, when the season is released on DVD in Australia. It will be released in neighbouring New Zealand on April 1st.
EzyDVD.com has posted pre-order details for the DVD, which will have 3 discs and contain all 17 episodes of the show's first season. The DVD was first released in the U.S. & Canada in September 2008, in Argentina and Brazil in December, and was released in the United Kingdom and the Irish Republic in January of this year.

Episode 2.18 Ratings March 17, 2009
The ratings for last night's episode are out. The show and CBS's Monday night recorded similar ratings to the week before, suffering a squeeze from ABC's Dancing with the Stars and Fox's House & 24.
The Big Bang Theory was third in the slot, behind Dancing & House, with a 5.7/9 rating. How I Met Your Mother slipped slightly from Bang with a 5.5/8 rating. Two and a Half Men was second, behind Dancing, posting an 8.5/13 rating. Rules of Engagement also ranked second with a 6.9/10 rating.
