TBBT & Kaley Cuoco win at People's Choice Awards January 9, 2014

The Big Bang Theory and its star Kaley Cuoco were among the winners at the 2014 People's Choice Awards, held last night in Los Angeles.

The Big Bang Theory took home the Favorite Network TV Comedy award for the second year in a row. This was the show's fifth consecutive nomination and marks the show's third win, having scooped the award in 2010, 2013 and now 2014.

Kaley Cuoco won the Favorite Comedic TV Actress award for the first time. Cuoco, who hosted the ceremony in 2012 and 2013, described the award as the second best thing to happen to her this year, after her recent wedding to tennis player Ryan Sweeting.

7.12 'The Hesitation Ramification' Ratings January 6, 2014

Last week's new episode of The Big Bang Theory dominated its time slot to ranks as the night's most-watched and highest-rated broadcast.

"The Hesitation Ramification", the first new episode of 2014, had an audience of 19.20 million people, up from the previous episode's 17.67m. In the key adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory had a 5.4 rating, up from 5.1 on December 12. This was the show's best performance in viewers and the 18-49 demo since 7.02 "The Deception Verification" on September 26.

The Occupation Recalibration – Sheldon tries to relax after he is forced to take a vacation. Meanwhile, Leonard struggles to be supportive of Penny after she quits her job, and Bernadette seeks Stuart’s help in replacing one of Howard’s comic books, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Jan. 9 (8:00 – 8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Josh Peck guest stars as Jesse, the owner of a rival comic book store.

News Roundup - TBBT Renewal Talks, Josh Peck guests December 18, 2013

Warner Bros. begin negotiations with CBS for multi-year renewal

Warner Bros. Television have entered negotiations with CBS for a multi-year renewal deal for The Big Bang Theory, Deadline.com reported today. The deal is likely to match the length of its previous three-year deal, taking the show through to its tenth season in 2016/17.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Warner Bros. has not begun contract negotiations with the five original cast members yet, but is likely to start negotitations for a new three-year contract early in the new year. Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch signed new contracts earlier this year.

Josh Peck to guest star

Josh Peck, former star of Nickelodeon's Drake and Josh, is to guest star in an episode of The Big Bang Theory early next year, TVLine.com revealed today (spoilers). The episode is set to air January 9, after The Big Bang Theory returns with new episodes on January 2.

7.11 'The Cooper Extraction' Ratings December 13, 2013

Last night's episode of The Big Bang Theory finished first in the ratings for its time slot and ranked as the night's most-watched and highest-rated broadcast.

"The Cooper Extraction" was watched by 17.67 million people, up by 2.04m from last week's episode which faced NBC's The Sound of Music Live! The Big Bang Theory had more viewers than the other four networks combined.

In the key adults 18-49 demographic, The Big Bang Theory scored a 5.1/16 rating, up from 4.8/14 last week. The Big Bang Theory was first in in its time slot and the night's top performer in key ratings metrics.
