TBBT wins three Critics' Choice awards

The Big Bang Theory was a big winner at the 3rd Critics' Choice Television Awards yesterday. The show won three awards, including awards for stars Kaley Cuoco and Simon Helberg. The show took home more awards than any other show.

The Big Bang Theory won the Best Comedy Series award. The show beat out competition form FX's Louie, ABC's The Middle, Fox's New Girl, NBC's Parks and Recreation and HBO's Veep.

Simon Helberg took home the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. The other contenders were New Girl's Max Greenfield, Girls' Alex Karpovsky, Happy Endings' Adam Pally, Parks and Recreation's Chris Pratt and Community's Danny Pudi.

Kaley Cuoco tied with The Middle's Eden Sher to win the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series award. The Big Bang Theory's own Melissa Rauch was also nominated in this category. The other nominees for the award were Suburgatory's Carly Chaikin, Modern Family's Sarah Hyland and Happy Endings' Casey Wilson.

Jim Parsons, who was nominated for the Best Actor in a Comedy Series award, lost out to Louis C.K. of FX's Louie. Also nominated for that award were House of Lies' Don Cheadle, New Girl's Jake Johnson, Parks and Recreation's Adam Scott and Suburgatory's Jeremy Sisto.

Bob Newhart was nominated in the Best Guest Performer in a Comedy Series for his guest spot on The Big Bang Theory this season, but the award went to Patton Oswalt for his appearance on Parks and Recreation.
