The ratings for last night's episode, the second original episode to face American Idol, are out. The show appeared unscathed by the fierce competition from the popular reality contest.
The Big Bang Theory finished second, behind American Idol, with an 8.0/13 rating in households. The show was watched by 13.81m people, up by around 190,000 people from the last original episode. The show scored a 4.3/12 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic, up on the last new episode. The ratings are inline with the show's average this season, suggesting American Idol isn't taking away much of the show's audience.
