The Big Bang Theory ended its twelve-season run with an hour-long series finale on Thursday, May 16.

On August 22, 2018, CBS and Warner Bros. announced that The Big Bang Theory would end with its twelfth season. The final season premiered with a special broadcast on Monday, September 24, 2018 and returned to its regular Thursday night time period on September 27. The final episode of The Big Bang Theory was taped on April 30, 2019.
