1217 'The Conference Valuation' Press Release

CBS has released the synopsis for the next episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The Conference Valuation", which airs Thursday, March 7. Christine Baranski returns as Leonard's mother, Dr. Beverly Hofstadter.

The Conference Valuation – When Penny and Bernadette go to San Diego for a pharmaceutical sales convention, Wolowitz is in charge of the kids. Also, Sheldon finds a book on experimenting on kids, and the guys plus Amy make a day of it, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, March 7 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The Big Bang Theory will be taking a short break this week. A rerun of "The VCR Illumination" will air this Thursday, February 28.

In other scheduling updates, a rerun will also air Thursday, March 14 with "The Propogation Proposition". The Big Bang Theory will then be off air for two weeks, March 21 and March 28, as CBS airs the March Madness basketball tournament. The final season of The Big Bang Theory will continue April 4 as CBS starts to air the last six episodes of the show.

CBS gives Young Sheldon a two season renewal

CBS today announced that it has renewed Young Sheldon for a further two seasons, taking the show through to its fourth season in 2020/21.

"Thanks to Chuck Lorre's and Steve Molaro's outstanding creative leadership, YOUNG SHELDON has been a powerful performer for the Network with an audience that towers over most of the television landscape," said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment. Added Thom Sherman, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming: "The Coopers are portrayed by an amazing cast, and we are looking forward to having the gifted writing staff mine even more of Sheldon's hilarious backstory and the warm family dynamic that has made this comedy a favorite with audiences for the past two seasons."

Young Sheldon, which focuses on Sheldon's early life a boy genius in East Texas in the '90s, premiered in 2017. Now in its second season, the show ranks as the second most-watched comedy series on TV, behind only The Big Bang Theory.

The renewal comes as The Big Bang Theory heads toward the end of its twelve season run on CBS. Although the show's producers have indicated they would could be open to another spin-off series if the right idea presented itself, no project is thought to be in development.

CBS has released the synopsis for the hotly anticipated February 21 episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The D & D Vortex".

William Shatner (Star Trek), Kevin Smith (director of Clerks), Joe Manganiello (True Blood) and basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar guest star in the episode.

"The D & D Vortex" - When the gang finds out Wil Wheaton hosts a celebrity Dungeons and Dragons game involving William Shatner, Joe Manganiello, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kevin Smith, deception and betrayal are the path to make it to the one open seat, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Feb. 21 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The final season of The Big Bang Theory continues this Thursday, February 7 at 8/7c on CBS with "The Donation Oscillation". The show will then take a short break as a rerun of "The Citation Negation" airs February 14.

The Big Bang Theory's final season returns to UK

The twelfth season of The Big Bang Theory will return to UK screens later this month, E4 has revealed. The network aired the first ten episodes of the final season last year.

The show will return on Thursday, February 21 at 20:00 with "The Paintball Scattering". In the episode, Penny and Leonard organize a game of paintball, which turns to chaos when Sheldon is jealous of Amy. Meanwhile, Raj catches his fiancee Anu with an ex-partner, and Stuart doesn't want to move in with Denise.

The Big Bang Theory will be followed at 20:30 by the second season of Young Sheldon, which returned to E4 with new episodes last month.

William Shatner to guest star on The Big Bang Theory January 30, 2019

Star Trek legend William Shatner will guest star in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory's final season, CBS revealed today.

A video on the show's official Facebook page teased guest appearances from William Shatner, True Blood actor Joe Manganiello, director Kevin Smith, basketball great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Wil Wheaton in the "ultimate Dungeons and Dragons battle".

Kevin Smith, best known for directing the film series Clerks, previously featured in a Season 8 episode of the show, "The Fortification Implementation", when he called into Wil Wheaton's podcast. Star Trek: The Next Generation star Wil Wheaton has appeared in sixteen episodes of the show since the third season.

William Shatner is not the first Star Trek actor to have featured on the show. Leonard Nimoy gave his voice to a Spock action figure in "The Transporter Malfunction", while George Takei appeared as himself in the Season 4 episode "The Hot Troll Deviation".

No air date was announced for the Dungeons and Dragons-themed episode. The final season of The Big Bang Theory continues Thursday, January 31 on CBS.

The Donation Oscillation – Penny tries to seduce an abstaining Leonard to ruin his “donation” for her ex-boyfriend, Zack (Brian Thomas Smith), and his wife, Marissa (Lindsey Kraft). Kal Penn, Sean Astin to guest star January 2, 2019

Kal Penn (Designated Survivor, House) and Sean Astin (Stranger Things, The Lord of the Rings) will guest star in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory's final season, TVLine.com reported today.

According to TVLine, Penn and Astin will play a duo of physicists who accidentally confirm Sheldon and Amy's theory of super-asymmetry.

Sheldon and Amy first developed their theory of super-asymmetry at their wedding ceremony. After spending the first few months of their marriage working tirelessly on the concept, they were devastated when Leonard showed them a decades-old Russian paper which seemingly disproved their theory. A flash of inspiration from Sheldon's late father helped them look at their thesis in a new light and see an even bigger idea.

The Big Bang Theory's twelfth season returns this Thursday, January 3 with "The Paintball Scattering" at 8/7c on CBS.
