Episode 4.01 Ratings Posted September 24, 2010
The ratings for the season 4 premiere and the first original episode to air on Thursdays are now out. The show looks to have been a big success on Thursday.
The Big Bang Theory was watched by 13.95m people, up by around 1 million on last season's premiere. The show set a 4.8/15 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic, also up from the third season opener. The show finished first in its slot in all key metrics.
The ratings are impressive considering last season the show had Two and a Half Men, the most popular sitcom in the United States, as a lead-in. This season airs without a lead-in and at a lesser watched time period, one which hasn't seen a sitcom from CBS for 45 years.
